D'banj and Genevieve kissing on set Fall in Love Video.
At the moment, self-styled KokoMaster, D'banj (real names Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo), is said to be seriously looking for a 'real woman' that could fit into the shoes of his life partner. He has tried a lot on his own without much progress and may be seeking 'Divine Intervention' on this all important issue.
The gist however is that he's not in anyway thinking of considering Nollywood diva, Genevieve Nnaji, despite the buzz that was created by both of them few months back. As far as D'banj is concerned...
If genevieve is still sitting down and waiting for him to propose then she's really really 'sitting on a long thing'. Below is a report monitored on Mordern Ghana on the same issue:
D'banj, born June 9, 1980, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and harmonica player. He has won several music awards. In the past, D'banj had been linked romantically with a couple of ladies including screen Goddess, Genevieve Nnaji.

In a recent interview, D'banj opens up on his relationship with Genevieve Nnaji and also talked about his ideal woman and why he has not been able to find a wife yet. In his words: "I think Genevieve is a stunner I could date or love her. But we didn't date. She's my friend and a star you know. We're close and we both understand that things couldn't work out."
Asked on plans of getting married, he said: "To find a lady that really likes one genuinely makes me paranoid. Of late, I dated a lady called Dana and she doesn't even know that I'm a musician. I told her I'm a businessman. She's based in America and I like it. Is it wrong? Even if I date a foreigner, I still have to come back home. It's really hard to find because how will I know she likes me genuinely?"
Haba D'banj you no try for Genevieve at all. Why the denial? What about the lovey dovey you two were playing at P-Square's birthday bash months back? You even graced her birthday party held in far away London early this year. Now you dey denie your once upon a time lover? Na wa o!
According to Mordern Ghana, other ladies that once fell prey to his antics are Empress Njamah, Ini Edo, Rukky Sanda, Mercy Johnson and Amina Abubakar, daughter of Nigeria's former vice president, Atiku Abubakar.
So, the question is: Who will be the 'lucky girl' that will truly love D'banj "genuinely" and how would he even know that her love for him is indeed "genuine"? Or could it be that the guy is not even ready for marriage after all?
